Epoch implies an expanse of time, epistle that we have something to express and epiphany that there is the immanent possibility of a sudden leap in our understanding. The stories that have been handed down over time often have a recurrence of three: three sisters, three wishes or three chances.

In this class we will work on three pieces at a time. Three is a number of creativity and movement and mitigates the dilemma of blocks that occur when all of our focus rests on the outcome of a single piece. This focus will be extended to the music and poetry that we listen to, and in the rhythm of the day.

Each student will make several series of three paintings. Techniques will include color study, collage, drawing and texture. The class will have a contemplative atmosphere and we won't always know where we are going!
